Stopped by when we visited San Diego in March 2023 as I had it saved on my list of "food" places! Pricing was super fair. Food was super good. Very centralized to be able to walk to everything near by.

This remains my favorite cheap beach eat! Soak up the sun on Mission Beach. Grab some Cheesy Express on the way home. The veggie is perfect melty, cheesy goodness with pesto, spinach, and sun dried tomatoes so it feels just a little grown up.

Great people good food! It's a huge sandwich too! I shall return, i had the Ham and bacon sandwich

I am so happy to share my thoughts about this spot. Mac gave me the best customer service when I came in for lunch today . He is upbeat , awesome & such a positive person . Cheese Happiness with a smile is the shops Motto , Mac told me . Always be happy. It was so uplifting and contagious and made me feel great . My sandwich I ordered was an explosion of amazing flavors it's was incredible . The chipotle chicken was such a large portion , when I bit into the cheesy stacked stuffed goodness it was so good . The fries were crispy and thick cut . My meal was Very nostalgic of childhood . The menu has lots of options all very original and seemed interesting . I also saw a veggie option for those who don't eat meat too . Clean shop , very easy to get to from the boardwalk , also indoor/outdoor dining .

We are staying at Airbnb and took a walk and found this gem. Great prices, great atmosphere (had nothing to do with the 80s music videos playing) and very tasty sandwiches made fresh when ordered. The gentleman behind the counter was friendly and quick. The only bummer is I forgot to order some lumpia Check it out

Great little grilled cheese place! We grabbed dinner to go after a day at the beach and were not disappointed! Large slabs of bread oozing cheese and fillings next to generous bags of fries. Can't go wrong. I don't know what it is about salty crinkle cut fries in a parchment bag but they were perfect. The one with sandwich with bulgogi fillings was great and I was kinda craving another the next day.

Decided to give this place a try on my last night on Mission Bay. I am a huge lover of cheese lol so I said let's try it. It did not disappoint at all! I got two sandwiches for my kids and myself. We tried the Zuckermans Crucnh and the Chipotle Chicken which I must say was just the right amount of spice and kick to it. My kids enjoyed theirs as well which was ham and bacon with cheese. When you walk in, there's nothing but good vibes. There was a group of young adults inside singing with the owner while he made everyone's sandwiches. The owner (at least I think it was the owner) made conversation with me and my little one. Definitely a place I will visit again on my next trip out to Mission.

I ordered 4 sandwiches, 2 types of fries aka cheese fries and steak fries. The Fry's are yummy, nicely seasoned and the portions were awesome. Some of the sandwiches I ordered were spicy as advertised and the crust on them were perfect. I was surprised at how filling the sandwiches are based on the size received. The lady who was working by herself was friendly, had 5 people order before mine. The time it took to make my order was surprisingly efficient for the number of customers vs employees. My son is a picky eater when it comes to Mac and cheese. I tasted it and agree that it was very bland. So don't order the Mac and cheese, stick to the sandwiches and fries. Definitely will come by again when I'm staying at the Bahia hotel. Don't forget to grab your free bumber sticker on your way out. With too I paid $69 for 4 sandwiches, 3 orders of fries and one kid meal. Definitely worth every penny and was left full with leftovers.
